Join our dynamic team as a Senior Tax Associate, where you will collaborate closely with both the tax and wealth management teams to efficiently prepare and deliver personal, fiduciary, S-Corporation, partnership, private foundation, and gift tax returns. We seek a passionate tax professional who is a proactive listener and a strong team player, dedicated to both personal and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Foster and nurture client relationships to enhance retention, providing support for planning, projects, and compliance needs.
Prepare tax returns, quarterly and annual income tax projections, estimated tax vouchers, extension forms, and all associated work papers and financial statements.
Timely maintain client paper files and electronic data files; compile quarterly asset values for billing, journals, transfers, invoicing, annuity fees, commission fees, and consulting fees.
Monitor activities within your scope to implement controls that prevent errors, fraud, and misstatements in financial results.
Engage in learning opportunities through client meetings, associate meetings, and internal resources related to compliance and practice management.
Address inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities, conducting research on complex tax matters and regulatory updates.
Deliver complete, timely, and accurate client deliverables in adherence to the firm’s quality control standards.
Contribute to additional projects aimed at enhancing client service as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in tax preparation.
Skills and Knowledge
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with various tax software programs.
