Acting as a vital extension of the Bakery Operations Manager (BOM), ABOMs are prepared to take full ownership of bakery operations as needed.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Operational Execution• Oversee core bakery operations, including inventory management, scheduling, staffing, and administrative tasks.• Uphold stringent standards for product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and customer experience.• Assist in the management of ordering processes, inventory accuracy, and shrinkage control.• Aid in schedule development and labor execution to achieve operational goals.Talent & Team Development• Facilitate recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new employees.• Provide ongoing coaching and real-time performance feedback to team members.• Enforce accountability standards while nurturing a culture of growth and development.• Ensure adherence to company standards in onboarding and training programs.Leadership & Ownership• Take charge of bakery operations independently in the absence of the BOM.• Exemplify urgency, accountability, and operational discipline.• Collaborate with the BOM and area leadership to identify and address operational challenges.• Ensure seamless continuity of operations during leadership transitions or staffing shortages.• Perform additional duties as required.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:• Successfully manage all BOM-level administrative and operational responsibilities independently.• Maintain a fully staffed, trained bakery that meets high operational standards.• Foster a strong culture of accountability and consistency.• Serve as a dependable operational leader during coverage scenarios.• Show clear readiness for progression to a BOM role.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:• A minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality settings.• Strong operational discipline and meticulous attention to detail.• Proficient in coaching and developing team members.• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.• Ability to perform all bakery roles during peak operational times.• Excellent communication and problem-solving capabilities.
