We are actively seeking a Team Lead Firewall Administrator to join our dynamic team in support of a program for a Department of Defense (DoD) client.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee vendor personnel, including planning and managing projects efficiently to optimize resource utilization and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
- Address issues, allocate resources, manage staff, and monitor operational performance, following directives from the government for complete satisfaction.
- Under general supervision, define product requirements from inception to completion.
- Create specifications for simple to moderately complex problems.
- Collaborate with the Vendor Project Manager (PM), Technical Points of Contact (TPOCs), and government representatives to deliver precise solutions and ensure user satisfaction on technical issues.
- Advise the PM on schedules, weekly and monthly reports, transition plans, 8570/8140 reports, In-Process Review (IPR) briefings, and kick-off meetings.
- Plan and implement Enclave Boundary Defense systems and programs, which include firewalls, proxy servers, cloud services, and other applications.
- Design and deploy De-Militarized Zones (DMZs) for each managed firewall as necessary.
- Provide on-site and remote support for boundary security and programs, including Checkpoint Firewalls, Aviatrix Product Suite, various cloud security types, and other security controls.
- Engage in the development, testing, and deployment of firewalls and proxy servers.
- Ensure devices are configured according to DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Manage product lifecycles and upgrades, including installing hotfixes, patches, and other enhancements to boost product performance.
- Assess and recommend firewall solutions for technology refresh initiatives.
- Implement and maintain new firewall solutions as mandated by the government.
- Coordinate with Tier III support teams and government clients throughout design, planning, implementation, and sustainment phases.
