Job Summary:We are on the lookout for a skilled and dedicated CNC Fabricator to join our team at Panelmatic Inc. The CNC Fabricator is responsible for producing a variety of sheet metal components that adhere to specified dimensional requirements. This role involves setting up and aligning parts according to shop prints in preparation for CNC operations and final fabrication assembly. The position allows for both independent work and collaboration within a small team to create metal buildings and enclosures.

Role overview The Assembly Lead oversees teams in the manufacturing area at the Conroe, Texas facility. This position assigns daily tasks, clarifies responsibilities, and monitors workflow to ensure company policies are followed. The Assembly Lead also provides training and support for team members, and collaborates with management to improve production processes. Main responsibilities Supervise staff to meet production goals by organizing and monitoring daily workflow. Set job expectations, plan and assess outcomes, and support employee growth through coaching and counseling. Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor new team members. Maintain efficient operations by monitoring processes, setting operational variables, observing control points, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction. Develop and execute production plans by scheduling personnel, setting priorities, resolving issues, and reporting on production flow.

Job Duties:Lead and mentor a team of fabricators on the production floor, ensuring effective communication of instructions and strict adherence to safety, production, and quality standards.Confirm material availability, generate material lists, ensure tools are operational, report tool malfunctions, monitor consumables usage, and provide weekly reports to the supervisor.Execute complex welding tasks, carry out quality inspections, oversee fabrication projects, offer technical guidance, and assist supervisors in project management.Inspect welds for quality assurance and compliance, and proactively identify and implement corrective measures for fabrication issues.Maintain a tidy and organized work environment while collaborating effectively with other departments.Select suitable materials for each project based on required strength specifications.Perform MIG welding on mild and stainless steel.Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to precise dimensions.Measure, cut, and weld components according to blueprints and specifications.Utilize tools such as hammers, chisels, and grinders to manipulate metal to meet specifications.Verify workpiece conformance using measuring tools such as squares, rulers, and measuring tapes.Connect components securely using riveting, rolling, soldering, or steel screws.Assist in assembly tasks, including punching holes for screws and bending gutters.Set up and operate fabrication machines, including brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses.Coordinate equipment shutdowns and startups with other departments post-sheet metal installation.Maintain comprehensive records for projects and repairs.Perform other related duties as assigned.
