About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Last Mile Driver. This position primarily involves operating a 26ft box truck for last-mile deliveries, as well as performing various warehouse tasks. Responsibilities include receiving and organizing materials, kitting job kits, and operating equipment such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for driving a box truck, unloading pallets at residential locations, and ensuring the truck and warehouse environment remain clean and organized.
What You'll Do
Deliver Products: Execute safe and efficient deliveries of packages or goods to both residential and business addresses, ensuring careful handling of all items.
Equipment Operation: Skillfully operate an electric powered pallet jack to manage pallets during loading and unloading.
Customer Interaction: Offer exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing questions and concerns as they arise.
Pickup Tasks: Conduct trash pickups from customers, ensuring that all return items are accurately accounted for and in good condition, while keeping the customer's yard free of trash or debris.
Route Management: Strategically plan and navigate the most efficient routes to ensure prompt deliveries and pickups.
Vehicle Maintenance: Keep the delivery vehicle clean, safe, and well-organized. Perform basic maintenance checks to ensure the vehicle is always in good working condition.
Documenting Deliveries: Accurately log delivery details, including times and addresses, using delivery applications or paperwork.
Inventory Management: Assist in loading and unloading products from the vehicle, ensuring all items are accounted for.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols during driving and product handling.
Reporting Issues: Communicate any problems or delays encountered during the delivery process, including damages, missing items, or obstacles on the road.
