We are currently in search of a talented Crew Chief with a robust background in supporting Group 3 or larger UAS platforms. This pivotal role involves ensuring the inspection, maintenance, and operational readiness of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), while adhering to all regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will possess technical proficiency in systems troubleshooting, hands-on aircraft maintenance, and a strong dedication to safety and accuracy in aerospace operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure maintenance compliance with all service bulletins, engineering changes, FAA airworthiness directives, and relevant technical data.
Conduct troubleshooting and repair of engine, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Assist in disassembly and reassembly of components during modifications or failure resolution.
Perform inspections of aircraft components for cleanliness and serviceability prior to utilization.
Fabricate and modify aerospace components according to specifications and engineering designs.
Conduct validation and verification testing of UAS components and subsystems.
Execute launch and recovery operations for unmanned aircraft systems.
Safely manage aircraft handling tasks, including towing, jacking, and pre-flight operations.
Collaborate closely with flight crews and engineering teams to prepare aircraft for missions and test scenarios.
Meticulously document all maintenance activities in aircraft logbooks.
Monitor and report on the status and tracking of HAZMAT and critical mission equipment.
