The Category Manager will play a crucial role in leading the growth and strategic direction of a key category. As the chief operator and strategist for your category, you will identify opportunities, create pipelines, and foster seller and creator engagement from inception through growth.
This position requires a blend of strategic planning, extensive market and customer insight, and hands-on execution, with complete accountability for category growth outcomes. You will collaborate closely with Partnerships, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to define and enhance the pathway to liquidity, engagement, and monetization within your category.
Key Responsibilities:
Category Strategy & Ownership
- Develop and define the strategic vision and growth plan for your category on our platform.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of the category’s supply landscape, demand drivers, community channels, and competitive dynamics.
- Establish success metrics and quarterly objectives to drive category performance.
Supply & Community Acquisition
- Create a strong pipeline of sellers, creators, influencers, and shops within your category.
- Lead outreach, onboarding, and enablement for high-potential sellers.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with strategic sellers and community leaders.
Cross-Functional Go-To-Market Execution
- Collaborate with our Account and Partnerships Managers to enhance seller engagement and support.
- Work with Category Marketing Managers to design impactful launches, moments, and campaigns.
