Do you thrive on leading a dynamic team in our new distribution center?Your RoleFrom our warehouse, we supply a wide array of orders to over 70 Van der Valk hotels. Whether it's tea, ice cream, candy, or soup, our product range is diverse and continually expanding! Every day, we ensure that all logistical processes run smoothly, guaranteeing that our hotels receive their orders as scheduled. This includes managing incoming and outgoing goods, order picking, dispatch, warehouse organization, and returns sorting. As a Logistics Team Leader, you will share the responsibility for these processes. You enjoy contributing ideas, are proactive, and can independently manage significant workloads to elevate our warehouse operations. Additionally, you will maintain a safe and clean working environment and ensure accurate and timely registration of goods in our Warehouse Management System (WMS).Will you help the team fulfill all hotel orders?As the Logistics Team Leader, you will oversee a team of 15 employees. You will guide the team, allocate tasks, and ensure that productivity and quality remain high. Continuous development of your team members is also a priority; you will regularly engage in discussions to identify how you can support their growth. You will be present on the floor to assist colleagues during busy periods and act as the point of contact for escalations. If you cannot resolve an issue, you will collaborate with the logistics supervisor to find a solution.Your TeamThe distribution team currently consists of 30 colleagues who work collaboratively to manage the complete logistics process for our hotels. We foster a culture of openness, encouraging questions and sharing, which also allows for humor in the workplace.The OrganizationWorking for Van der Valk means being part of the friendliest hotels in the Netherlands. We are dedicated to putting smiles on our guests' faces! You will work at the distribution center within the Purchasing department, which strategically handles procurement for over 70 Van der Valk hotels both domestically and internationally. We previously outsourced storage and distribution, but in 2022, we decided to bring this in-house, leading to the establishment of a new, modern distribution center near Eindhoven.
