Role Overview:
The Senior Critical Facilities Technician (Sr. CFT) plays a pivotal role in overseeing all operational aspects of critical and non-critical data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems. This leadership position is key to establishing and maintaining high standards of safety and reliability within our facilities. The Sr. CFT will champion continuous improvement initiatives, exemplifying adherence to company standards and industry best practices while fostering a culture of ongoing learning and development. Responsibilities include providing hands-on training for junior technicians and stepping in as a supervisory resource in the absence of the CFM and/or ACFM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain critical and non-critical infrastructure equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist the CFM/ACFM in leading the Critical Facilities Technician team, ensuring total availability (100% uptime) and minimizing operational risks.
- Monitor essential parameters such as power, cooling capacity, and environmental conditions within the data halls.
- Provide technical leadership in mechanical and electrical support systems, focusing on maintenance, troubleshooting, and daily operations, including power distribution systems, emergency power, HVAC, fire alarm, and suppression systems.
- Deliver training and expertise in utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for managing all planned and unplanned maintenance tasks.
