Role overview The Aftermarket Parts Specialist manages the sourcing and ordering of aftermarket and used parts to support high-volume vehicle reconditioning at Clutch. This position calls for strong knowledge of automotive parts and vendor networks, along with the ability to make quick, cost-aware decisions. The specialist ensures production stays on schedule by securing the right parts at the right price and time. What you will do Source, quote, and order aftermarket and used parts for a range of vehicle makes and models. Evaluate multiple vendors to balance cost, quality, and availability. Oversee the entire ordering process, including receiving, verifying, and organizing parts. Address backorders, substitutions, and discrepancies proactively. Track parts accurately using inventory and ordering systems. Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of parts for reconditioning service-level agreements. Monitor inventory and identify potential gaps or risks to production flow. Develop and maintain relationships with aftermarket vendors and used parts suppliers, including recyclers and salvage networks. Identify opportunities to reduce costs through effective sourcing and vendor selection. Support ongoing improvements and standardization in parts processes. Requirements Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in an automotive parts desk role. Strong understanding of aftermarket and used parts ecosystems, including recyclers and alternative sourcing channels. Demonstrated experience managing high-volume parts operations.
