Morgan & Morgan’s Fort Lauderdale office is hiring an experienced Litigation Paralegal. This role supports attorneys throughout every phase of litigation, requiring careful attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
What you will do
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, memoranda, and appellate filings.
- File documents electronically with state and federal courts.
- Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in cases.
- Conduct legal research and factual investigations as needed.
- Prepare and respond to discovery materials, such as interrogatories and related requests.
- Draft and serve summons when necessary.
- Summarize depositions and coordinate logistics for depositions and hearings.
- Compile and organize trial binders, exhibits, and case evidence.
- Maintain indexes of pleadings and discovery documents for easy reference.
- Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling hearings, organizing case files, and managing logistics.
- Act as a liaison between trial teams and both internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare witnesses for trial and assist attorneys with case settlements.
- Collect relevant information from various sources as required.
- Support attorneys with additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience as a litigation paralegal, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
This position is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and works closely with a team dedicated to consumer rights and justice.
