Position Overview: The Facilities Manager plays a crucial role in the planning, execution, and maintenance of the infrastructure, equipment, and operations within our manufacturing facility. This position entails overseeing maintenance personnel, managing facility enhancement projects, and ensuring adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards. The Facilities Manager will also formulate and enforce policies aimed at boosting operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability, while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and schedule maintenance and preventive tasks for building infrastructure and facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
- Delegate and manage tasks for constructing and installing partitions, offices, shelving, and wiring systems as necessary.
- Conduct safety training for personnel on general safety practices, fire safety, hazard communication (Right to Know), and First Aid/CPR/AED. Organize quarterly safety meetings to ensure compliance.
- Manage hazardous waste storage and disposal, and supervise quarterly wastewater testing, ensuring timely reporting to regulatory bodies.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize resource usage, including energy, water, and air conditioning efficiency.
- Investigate and document safety incidents, prepare reports, and execute corrective measures.
- Maintain an inventory of safety equipment, ensuring all required items are readily available and functional.
- Plan, design, and oversee facility improvement projects, including preparing cost analyses and submitting permitting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental standards, building codes, and other safety protocols.
- Act as the main point of contact with utility companies and external contractors, managing resources and third-party maintenance services.
- Utilize technical manuals, OEM representatives, and online resources to troubleshoot and maintain equipment with minimal downtime.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations and preventive maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety procedures as outlined by company policies and the Facility Engineer/Safety Director.
