About the job
At Competitive Range Solutions, we collaborate with government entities to strategize and implement intricate, IT-enabled capabilities that are essential for mission success. Our aim is to foster your professional growth while engaging in stimulating projects within a supportive and friendly atmosphere.
We are currently seeking a skilled MAC Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) to lead and oversee our program's executive support team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a Department of Defense (DoD) setting and demonstrate effective collaboration within a multi-contractor government team.
The MAC RCDD will play a crucial role in supporting the DoD by managing Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs), which include activations, deactivations, installations, and equipment upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and sustain a high-performing team capable of executing between 9,000 and 12,000 MACs each year, ensuring alignment with DoD requirements.
- Carry out MAC activations, deactivations, installations, relocations, and equipment upgrades utilizing existing bench stock materials.
- Clarify MACs as basic hardware, port, or office relocations that require only contractor services and labor.
- Establish and comply with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and user agreements for Home Kits, Flyaway Kits, and the DoD-managed Travel Kit.
- Implement the DoD's change management process to monitor and execute MACs via service request tickets, catering to customers' voice, video, and data requirements.
- Conduct root-cause analyses on recurring issues related to MACs, networks, and systems, delivering findings in the Monthly MAC Report.
- Monitor MAC requests through service request tickets and ensure accessibility of the tracking system to customers and government oversight.
- Oversee all Change Requests (CRQs) for additions, removals, and modifications to Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) maintenance coverage.
- Update the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) with all MAC activities and compile a monthly summary report detailing each MAC's location, assignment, completion, and status.
- Adhere to established change and configuration management policies to ensure proper change control and asset accountability.
- Handle customer requests outside the MAC scope as new project Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) requests.
- In addition, manage Voice MACs, including Line Provisioning and Phone deployment, to fully support customer mission needs.
