About the Role
As a Data Center Facilities Operator, you will be instrumental in maintaining and operating the critical infrastructure that ensures our cutting-edge data center operates safely and efficiently. Collaborating as part of a shift-based operations team, you will facilitate both scheduled maintenance and immediate operational tasks while upholding exceptional standards of safety, reliability, and customer service.
This position can specialize in either Electrical or Mechanical systems based on your expertise.
What You Will Do
- Execute planned maintenance and work orders following site procedures and safety protocols
- Engage in 12-hour shift rotations, including control room monitoring and operational coverage
- Oversee, operate, and assist in critical infrastructure systems
- Address alarms, conduct troubleshooting, and support incident resolution
- Keep precise documentation, reporting, and shift logs
- Facilitate safe scheduling and quality execution of maintenance tasks
- Guide the training and mentoring of new team members
- Encourage strong teamwork, safety awareness, and continuous improvement within the operations team
What You Bring
- Technical background in Electrical or Mechanical fields (trade, vocational, or technical training)
- Experience with critical infrastructure, industrial systems, or building services is advantageous
- Dedication to ongoing training and certification
- Strong teamwork ethos with a focus on detail and safety
- Capability to follow procedures and respond efficiently in operational settings
Physical Requirements
This role involves periods of standing, walking, and working in technical environments. Candidates should be comfortable with climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and handling equipment. Reasonable accommodations can be provided to support individuals with disabilities.
