This role involves planning and administering medically prescribed hand therapy, along with overseeing the clinical operations within the hand therapy setting.This is a PRN position, meaning it is as needed, and eligible for a 16% PRN differential.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Evaluate, plan, and implement treatment for patients with upper extremity conditions to facilitate recovery or adaptation to disabilities.Deliver quality care aligned with patient needs and goals by interpreting evaluations and test results; coordinate therapy plans with healthcare professionals.Assess therapy outcomes by monitoring patient progress and consulting with physicians to recommend adjustments, documenting evaluations, treatments, goals, and progress in compliance with facility standards.Prepare patients for a successful return to work by collaborating with patients, physicians, employers, and case managers to assess potential challenges and necessary accommodations.Demonstrate proficiency in fabricating custom thermoplastic orthoses and instruct patients in their proper usage and care.Develop and maintain accurate individualized patient care plans, ensuring timely documentation and billing.Contribute to the advancement of hand therapy protocols and programs, participating in continuing education and in-service presentations.Assist in the development of student programs and mentor students.
