Summary/ObjectiveAs an integral part of our team, the Accounting Supervisor, reporting directly to the Director of Accounting, will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements for our esteemed CPA firm. This position involves overseeing the comprehensive compilation of financial data, including bank reconciliations, general ledgers, balance sheets, and income statements, all while managing a dedicated team of accountants in their daily operations.Essential FunctionsConduct thorough reviews of accounting records, financial reports, and statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to departmental standards, promptly addressing any discrepancies with team members.Verify and confirm proper account entries through meticulous examination of records.Implement and maintain accurate documentation of financial records utilizing the latest technologies.Responsibilities and DutiesOversee the monthly and quarterly reconciliation processes, including bank and credit card accounts, ensuring the general ledger is accurate and compliant.Review payroll summaries and journal entries post-factum to maintain accuracy.Reconcile balance sheet accounts to supporting documentation through diligent review of journal entries.Manage the preparation of year-end Forms 1096 and 1099.
