Position Title: Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) / Behavioral Health Counselor (BHC)
Location: Glendale, AZ
Employment Type: Full-Time (Mon-Thurs 6pm-3am; Fri-Sat-Sun 6pm-6am)
Work Setting: Residential Behavioral Health Program – Adolescents
Compensation: $20 - $22 / hr

Position Overview
The Behavioral Health Technician / Counselor is responsible for offering direct supervision, therapeutic support, and structured daily routines for adolescent residents. This position emphasizes creating a safe and recovery-oriented environment while facilitating clinical programming and daily living activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise adolescent residents, supporting their daily routines and structured activities.
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for residents.
- Accurately observe, document, and report client behaviors and incidents.
- Assist with daily living needs such as hygiene, meals, and health monitoring.
- Conduct drug screenings following program protocols.
- Engage in therapeutic and recreational programming.
- Collaborate closely with clinical, medical, and leadership teams.
- Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and respectful communication.
- Uphold health, safety, and cleanliness standards within the residence.
- Perform additional duties as required to support client care and program operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in behavioral health (1-2 years preferred).
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Preferred experience working with adolescents in residential or care-based settings.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Must successfully pass required background checks.
- Possess or be eligible for a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
