You will be the primary Gas Engineer on our mobile contract, responsible for executing planned maintenance and reactive tasks involving gas boilers, water heaters, pipework testing, air heaters, and radiant tube heaters.Your role will also involve managing hazardous situations by issuing warning notices and liaising with clients on behalf of ABM. You will need to effectively manage your workload, meet deadlines, and prepare quotations for remedial jobs exceeding £500.We seek a professional who is adept at general engineering tasks, particularly in mechanical and electrical trades, and who is competent in the full commissioning and servicing of HVAC equipment. You will collaborate with contract staff to ensure compliance with agreed contract terms and produce all necessary documentation, including technical and rejection reports for component failures.You are responsible for maintaining health and safety standards on-site, adhering to method statements and risk assessments while highlighting specific requirements as necessary.

Your responsibilities will include:Performing full commissioning and servicing of HVAC systems, chillers, and air handling units.Assisting with warranty repairs as needed.Compiling detailed reports in accordance with the company’s Quality System to communicate installation quality and performance.Collaborating with contracts staff to ensure adherence to contract terms.Generating necessary technical documentation, including reports on component failures.Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and following method statements and risk assessments.Coordinating with Contract Managers for material delivery and collection.Contributing to service and maintenance tasks during less busy periods.Promoting the company’s after-sales service and maintenance divisions.Reporting any site issues that could delay contract completion or impact customer satisfaction.Performing other duties as required to achieve company objectives.Flexibility to work across various sites and with diverse clientele.Providing regular on-call support for site emergencies outside standard working hours.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately completing and submitting weekly time sheets to your line manager.Submitting weekly expenses with appropriate receipts.Filling out necessary customer paperwork on-site and obtaining signatures for timely invoicing.Providing comprehensive details on any additional work required on engineer’s worksheets.Completing Minor Works and Installation Certificates post electrical installations or modifications.Maintaining communication with your line manager and office staff at the conclusion of each job.
