The Senior Automation Engineer plays a vital role in the development and execution of automation process control projects utilizing programmable controllers, operator and field devices, instrumentation, and more. This position involves the design, implementation, and testing of control and automation systems within a collaborative project team environment.
Key responsibilities include defining complex system requirements for clients, conducting studies, analyzing existing systems, and determining system specifications. The engineer will also coordinate subsystem design and the integration of the overall system. Responsibilities encompass system design, engineering, hardware engineering, programming, factory testing, and site testing. Additionally, the role includes identifying and resolving program support deficiencies and recommending corrective actions.
Compressor Control Responsibilities:
- Drafting Written Sequences of Operations
- Working with Positive Displacement, Reciprocating, Rotary, Dynamic, Centrifugal, and Axial Compressors
Essential Functions:
- Assist the Project Engineer in analyzing customer requirements to identify optimal process control solutions and component selection for control and safety systems.
- Provide updates to project engineers regarding activity status, performance against schedules, and budget compliance.
- Facilitate on-site process control system start-ups as needed.
- Communicate project status through verbal and written reports, contributing to project review meetings.
- Evaluate internal and external manufacturing facilities for progress updates, providing technical assistance and conducting final inspections.
- Coordinate work package execution with remote or third-party resources, ensuring quality and compliance with customer requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members and interface with stakeholders throughout project execution.
- Engage in the technical execution of multiple projects with combined values up to $500,000.
