Essel Environmental is a trusted leader in delivering responsive, high-quality environmental, engineering, and emergency response services. We are seeking dedicated and motivated Field Technicians to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, Alabama.
The Field Technician I position is an entry-level role designed to equip you with a foundational understanding of health and safety regulations, industry terminology, procedures, and the equipment essential for operating, maintaining, and overseeing various environmental control systems. The responsibilities assigned in this role are generally more straightforward and routine compared to those of a Field Technician II.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures, focusing on:
- The Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP) within our Health & Safety program.
- The Quality Management System to ensure high work quality.
- Standards of Business Conduct and Ethics governing employee behavior.
- Develop proficiency in operating, monitoring, and maintaining a range of environmental systems.
- Work collaboratively with senior staff to plan and execute daily Crew Activity Plans (CAP) while monitoring and adjusting environmental control system components.
- Conduct basic maintenance and repairs on environmental systems under the guidance of experienced colleagues.
- Document field observations and actions through detailed field notes and daily logs for client communication.
- Receive training on using field instruments for measuring environmental control system data, including calibration and care of instruments.
- Engage in preliminary data reviews with supervisors to interpret basic field data.
- Assist in operational adjustments to environmental control systems based on initial data reviews.
- Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and stay informed on industry best practices.
- Complete mandatory Health & Safety training.
