Role Overview
The Facility Security Officer 2 manages and maintains a comprehensive security program that meets regulatory and government standards. This position provides guidance to business leaders and ensures all security practices align with company and legal requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Apply analytical skills and risk management principles to carry out the security program.
- Deliver security briefings through public speaking, training sessions, and written materials.
- Protect personally identifiable information (PII) and sensitive data while meeting professional reporting standards.
- Implement physical and procedural security measures that support business continuity.
- Prepare, maintain, and protect official records for audits by U. S. Government representatives.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of the industrial security program to ensure a secure environment for staff and company assets.
- Oversee access control systems, intrusion detection, and CCTV operations.
- Manage facility access for vendors, consultants, and contractors.
- Work with departments such as Export Control, Facilities, and IT to formalize and strengthen the security program.
- Investigate security violations and provide guidance on disciplinary actions when needed.
- Coordinate with business units, senior management, and government officials on security matters.
- Represent the facility in discussions with AEVEX Corporate executives, site management, and government representatives regarding security and asset protection.
- Collaborate with local and federal law enforcement, investigators, and emergency response teams.
- Interpret and administer current policies, and develop, document, and communicate updates to processes and procedures as required.
- Design and lead educational programs and training sessions for all employees on security topics.
