Invitation for Expression of Interest for the position of an external consultant in the implementation of the AKRON-ENER project, with Project Code EKPAR01-0052455, part of the call 08KE of the "Research - Innovate" Action (code OPS 9833) funded by the "Competitiveness" Program through the NSRF 2021 – 2027.Project OverviewThe AKRON-ENER project, funded by the NSRF 2021–2027 ("Research - Innovate" Action), aims to develop a platform for the optimal implementation of distributed Artificial Intelligence algorithms in continuous Cloud-Edge environments, specifically for predictive maintenance of photovoltaic parks. Utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as IoT, Edge Computing, and Drones, this initiative seeks to reduce unforeseen disruptions in renewable energy production, optimize the performance of photovoltaic installations, and contribute to achieving European goals for the green energy transition. The solution will be validated through pilot applications across four photovoltaic parks located in various regions of Greece.The Uni Systems team will act as the coordinator and primary technology provider, responsible for designing the architecture, developing the Cloud-Edge platform, implementing AI algorithms for predictive maintenance, and validating them in a laboratory setting. Project Duration: 36 months Implementation Location: IoanninaRole:The selected candidate will join the research team at Uni Systems as a Project Consultant & Software Development Specialist, integrating knowledge of research project management with software development. In this role, they will actively contribute to both the technical implementation of applications in the energy sector and the technical monitoring and compliance of the project with funder requirements.Main ResponsibilitiesSupport in the technical management and monitoring of the project (timeline, deliverables, progress reports) in accordance with NSRF requirements.Engage in requirement gathering and drafting technical specifications and use cases.Develop web applications and automation tools to support the AKRON-ENER platform.Design and implement databases and interface with external systems.Assist in preparing reports and deliverables for funders.Communicate and coordinate with project partners.Participate in pilot demonstration activities at photovoltaic parks. RequirementsEssential QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.Proven experience in managing co-funded projects (NSRF and/or Horizon Europe).Experience in web application development and automation tools.Strong programming skills in relevant languages and technologies.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
