Join our dynamic team as a NOC Engineer (Network Operations Center Engineer) at prime-system, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a stable and secure IT environment for our clients. In this critical position, you will proactively address and resolve potential issues, ensuring optimal network performance while performing routine maintenance on network devices. Your ability to adhere to best practices, anticipate challenges, and effectively manage high-pressure situations will be essential in delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
· Utilize scripting and automation tools to enhance processes and minimize the time spent on troubleshooting issues.
· Design and implement automation solutions aimed at reducing failure rates and the need for engineer intervention in ticket resolution.
· Create innovative tools that empower engineers to address issues more efficiently and swiftly.
· Develop self-service solutions for clients to independently manage common problems.
· Draft proformas for each automation initiative to evaluate potential time or cost savings, work completion timelines, and the anticipated return on investment (ROI).
· Securely maintain a repository of scripts.
· Generate regular progress reports on automation initiatives.
· Create customized reports for the NOC and Service Desk using tools such as Power BI and BrightGauge.
· Automate patch management for Windows, third-party applications, and Mac systems using tools like Kaseya VSA, Addigy, and Intune.
· Oversee and update the RMM platform, Kaseya, along with the analytics platform, BrightGauge.
· Provide automated reports on patch statuses and endpoint compliance.
· Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth integration of automation solutions with existing systems and workflows.
· Maintain comprehensive documentation of automation scripts, tools, and procedures.
· Offer technical support and guidance to clients and colleagues regarding automation strategies and best practices.
