This role involves hands-on training with a variety of specialized Stage 3 equipment, requiring work on a rotational schedule of 12-hour shifts, specifically 14 days on followed by 7 days off across various project sites. Please note that this is a safety-sensitive position.Although we are hiring for our Calgary office, our field technicians operate throughout Canada in remote locations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to work a 14 days on and 7 days off schedule (specifics may vary by job site). Commitment to 12-hour shifts, including potential overtime. Adaptability to a swing schedule from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM or 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with initial shadowing of experienced technicians and field leaders. Willingness to travel to various remote job sites across Canada. Assignment to specific projects, with potential involvement in multiple projects as needed. Training in rigging up and rigging down equipment. Operation of various solids control equipment, including shaker tanks, centrifuges, drying devices, and pumps. Development of foundational knowledge in Environmental Services. Understanding basic electrical principles. Comprehension of drilling fluid properties such as fluid weight, funnel viscosity, and retort analysis, including performing fluid analysis. Execution of various solids control services, including air drilling, barite recovery, de-watering, and fluid transfers. Conducting basic routine maintenance and electrical services on diverse equipment. Safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery under supervision (safety-sensitive role). Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
