The ideal candidate will be adept at evaluating damaged vehicles and restoring them to their original structural integrity, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. The technician must exhibit attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment. You will report directly to the Shop Foreman.Key Responsibilities:Analyze damage reports and repair estimates to strategize work execution.Conduct thorough examinations of collision damage, ensuring all vehicle exterior components and electrical systems are operational and identifying any prior damages that may have been missed.Perform structural and comprehensive body repairs: This includes repairing or replacing front-end components, body panels, doors, frames, and underbody structures.Straighten bent frames using specialized pulling and anchoring equipment; repair dents and other imperfections using appropriate tools.Execute welding tasks on vehicles utilizing MIG welders and compression spot welders.Completely dismantle damaged vehicle sections to uncover hidden damages, replacing or repairing as necessary.Skillfully file, grind, and sand surfaces using both power and hand tools.Prepare surfaces for painting by masking and taping; apply primers and repaint as required.Utilize soldering equipment or plastic fillers to address holes, dents, and seams.Restore vehicles to factory/OEM specifications.Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to ensure proper handling and safety.Ability to interpret and comprehend estimates and automotive repair procedures.
