Position Overview
The Senior Associate for SPAR (StepStone Portfolio Analytics & Reporting) Client Service plays a crucial role in delivering portfolio analytics and reporting services to our private markets investment clients and their associated portfolios. This position involves close collaboration with senior leadership and various departments, including Accounting, Research, and Investor Relations, to support the Firm's global investment initiatives. As a key member of the Department, the SPAR Senior Associate will combine client management and team development responsibilities.
Essential Job Functions:
Client Management
- Act as the primary resource for client relationship management within the department.
- Serve as the account manager, coordinating with diverse functional teams and stakeholders to oversee all facets of the client monitoring and reporting cycle, focusing on our private equity and multi-asset client base.
- Conduct final reviews and provide sign-off on core client deliverables.
- Establish key deadlines and ensure they are consistently met.
- Manage, anticipate, and communicate the needs for relevant client deliverables effectively.
- Lead and delegate resources to ad hoc client projects as needed.
- Ensure succession plans and institutional memory are established to maintain uninterrupted client service.
- Proactively seek ways to improve work processes and enhance productivity.
Team Development
- Collaborate with fellow client service account managers to oversee the daily operations of the team.
- Mentor and engage junior staff, providing timely feedback, challenging assignments, and opportunities for growth based on performance.
- Reinforce departmental communications, initiatives, and training objectives to junior team members.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
