Main responsibilities
- Process radiographic films with attention to accurate patient demographics and technical details to achieve high-quality imaging results.
- Complete radiographic procedures efficiently, ensuring all required information is present on images and related documentation.
- Monitor patient conditions during procedures, provide first aid when necessary, and collaborate with physicians during emergencies or adverse reactions.
- Apply radiation protection measures for all patients and participate in required radiation safety training.
- Communicate with management to suggest improvements, report issues, and offer feedback supporting patient care and technical quality.
- Manage and monitor supply levels in the assigned work area, alerting the manager to shortages and keeping the area stocked each shift.
- Track expiration dates for time-sensitive supplies and take appropriate actions as needed.
- Support clinical education for rotating students and assist with orienting new staff members.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned, including billing and quality assurance duties.
- Maintain current licensure and continuing medical education, participating in required educational activities according to regulatory guidelines.
