As a Project Manager II, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and coordinating diverse work teams. You will adhere to standard project management practices, particularly those outlined in the PMI framework. Your role will involve a close collaboration with project sponsors, ensuring that both business and technical objectives are met effectively.
The Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB) in collaboration with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a seasoned Project Manager through a CAI contract. This individual will provide essential project management services for the enhancement of the Centralized Birth Certification System, the migration of Healthy Homes to the Next Generation Digital Infrastructure (NGDI), the upgrade of EDRS servers to the NGDI environment, and the update of the Healthy Homes and Lead Poisoning Surveillance System (HHLPSS). Your expertise will be crucial in supporting various coordination and migration activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and coordinate project work teams, ensuring adherence to project management best practices.
- Create project charters, work plans, and track budget and schedule progress using appropriate metrics.
- Establish project organization, methodologies, and define roles and responsibilities.
- Document risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Manage project scope, implement communication plans, and ensure team effectiveness.
- Provide technical support and handle complex application features and designs.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders and resolve any project issues.
