This hands-on role effectively merges Python software development with practical hardware testing.ResponsibilitiesSystem Development: Design and maintain hardware motor test benches to evaluate motor, propeller, and controller performance.Software Engineering: Create and refine internal Python-based tools for propulsion testbench operations and data visualization.Data Analysis: Develop scripts to compute motor thrust requirements and manage extensive datasets to analyze performance across various hardware configurations.Testing & Reporting: Conduct motor tests, upload findings to our cloud platform, and generate technical reports for internal stakeholders and manufacturers.Collaborative Design: Engage in design meetings for new platforms (e.g., fixed-wing observers), offering expertise on propulsion solutions to fulfill range and autonomy specifications.Tool Democratization: Ensure our internal visualization tools are robust and accessible to the broader Harmattan team.Candidate RequirementsEducational Background: Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechatronics, Programming, or a related field; exceptional self-taught individuals with impressive portfolios will also be considered.Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Python, with experience in software engineering and hardware testing.
