About the job
Are you detail-oriented with a passion for precision? If you possess a strong production background and are proficient in InDesign, this opportunity could be your next career advancement.
Our client, a leading entity in the digital B2B landscape and a publisher focused on niche industries, is seeking to hire a Deputy Production Editor for one of their premier publications.
This role is integral to their close-knit team, overseeing the weekly print content (including modifications to print and digital layouts) and contributing to the production of daily digital content. Responsibilities include subediting, fact-checking, and crafting designs for both digital and print formats, as well as curating daily newsletters.
You will play a pivotal role in defining the aesthetic and tone of this respected publication, which serves as the UK's most trusted source of specialized intelligence.
Your contribution will help uphold the highest standards of accuracy and quality in print content, collaborating with the production and engagement editor to ensure the publication remains thought-provoking. Work alongside reporters to enhance their copy, support the editor and head of content, and propose innovative strategies to continually improve how the publication presents its data-driven journalism. You will take the lead on weekly magazine print production and layout design.
The ability to translate complex data into clear, accessible information through graphics and layout, along with a keen interest in B2B publications, would be advantageous.
This position does not entail line management responsibilities, but you will be expected to act as a deputy for the head of production when necessary.
