Location: London, UK (Hybrid – typically ~1 day per week in office/on-site)
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Compensation Package: £90,000 – £120,000 + 10% Bonus + 10% Equity + Additional Benefits

Your Role
As the Principal AWS Platform Engineer, you will assume a pivotal technical leadership position within Appvia’s platform engineering initiatives. You will partner with clients to design, construct, and enhance scalable, resilient, and secure cloud infrastructures while mentoring teams on modern DevOps and platform engineering best practices.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, architecture, and consultancy. You will closely collaborate with engineers, delivery leads, and solution architects, shaping technical strategies, supporting initial solution designs, and guiding teams through the delivery of complex cloud platforms.
Your contributions will also extend to enhancing Appvia’s overall engineering capacity, influencing standards, patterns, and methodologies that benefit multiple client engagements.

Important Note
To be considered for this role, you must hold either active Security Clearance (SC) or be eligible for it, which requires:
- British Passport or Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
- Residency in the UK for a minimum of the past 5 years
- No criminal record
