Join Brook Green Supply (BGS), a prominent independent B2B energy supplier, specializing in customized gas and electricity solutions along with Net-Zero initiatives for industrial and commercial clients.
In this pivotal role, you will have significant ownership and visibility, shaping business performance in industry processes while enhancing reporting and automation as we expand.
As the Settlements Manager, reporting directly to the Head of Billing & Settlements, you will spearhead the settlements function, ensuring precise and timely settlements for our expanding portfolio.
You will lead a skilled team through portfolio growth, fortifying controls and reporting while driving continuous improvement in settlement and metering activities. Building strong interdepartmental relationships will be vital as you provide expertise to assess the financial implications of settlement activities and prioritize necessary changes.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate reporting and dashboards, leveraging data to identify root causes, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Oversee daily settlement performance, maintaining high standards throughout the end-to-end process from acquisition to settlement, ensuring adherence to industry and internal targets.
Lead and nurture your teams by setting clear objectives, coaching performance, and preparing them for upcoming industry changes and portfolio growth.
Foster strong relationships with Billing, Customer Operations, Sales, and other departments, championing metering and settlement while promoting data quality and understanding, positioning Settlements as integral to customer experience.
Drive acceptance of gas transfer reads; proactively identify risks to ensure disputes and exceptions are resolved positively.
Collaborate closely with Finance to analyze settlement variances and financial impacts, including risks and mitigations.
Enhance processes and controls to achieve first-time settlement accuracy, minimizing rework and manual inputs.
Serve as an escalation point for complex settlement issues, coordinating cross-functional resolutions and communicating effectively to stakeholders.
