This role involves inspecting, testing, and sampling assembled parts or products to identify defects, wear, and any deviations from specifications. The Inspector will employ precision measuring instruments and test equipment to evaluate product quality and performance. Minimum Qualifications Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification preferred. IPC/WHMA-A-610 or 620 certification preferred. Experience: Prior experience in quality inspection is highly desirable. Knowledge: Familiarity with IPC 610 and 620 standards, as well as the ability to read and comprehend customer requirements and basic assembly drawings. In-depth knowledge of components, connectors, terminals, and mating connectors for fixture construction. Skills: Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams and engineering drawings, along with the ability to use multi-meters, complex testing equipment, force gauges, and calipers. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Ability to identify discrepancies in drawings and customer requirements, and effectively communicate these to leads, supervisors, or management. Job Responsibilities Conduct basic signature testing of cables, including test beeping, terminal and solder inspections, and basic high voltage and ground impedance testing. Perform data entry and maintain accurate records, including inspection logs. Execute complex high voltage and ground impedance testing, generating new signature profiles for assemblies. Draft first article inspection reports and conduct RMA evaluations. Perform minor fixture repairs and construction as needed. Organize and maintain assembly files and fixture databases.
