Our expertise encompasses essential areas such as Scheduling, Cost Controls, Document Management, Budget Tracking, Risk Analysis, Change Management, and Earned Value Management.This position is based in Pomona, California, requiring presence in the office/field on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.The ideal candidate will:Engage in initial field reviews to evaluate project alternatives alongside Transmission Engineering and Environmental teams, offering insights regarding construction feasibility.Adopt a balanced perspective on project construction design that meets engineering demands, construction viability, and complies with state and federal regulations.Conduct necessary field evaluations to formulate a comprehensive plan for essential construction activities supporting the preferred project alternative.Draft a detailed construction plan in alignment with the Engineering scope, including a thorough description of all construction activities, personnel requirements, and duration estimates.Create a Google Earth map set of all construction work areas, collaborate with the Project Team, and submit the map set to the GIS team for processing.Identify and develop a list of necessary project permits.Assist in entering project data into EHSync and address data inquiries from the Environmental, Real Properties, and Government Lands teams.Contribute to the Project Execution Strategy review with the Project Team and local Grid, identifying the Responsible Party for Construction based on available skills and resources.Support Grid resources to ensure compliant execution according to the TLRR Program Plan.Negotiate with the GCC to establish a preliminary construction schedule and initial outage requests.Participate in creating specifications and scopes of work to facilitate the bidding process for contracted project tasks.Support the bidding process by attending job walks and bid conferences, addressing technical inquiries, and engaging in bid review and selection.Engage in the project construction kickoff meeting to establish performance expectations.Attend regular construction meetings to offer subject matter expertise and relay progress updates to the Project Manager.Meet with Contractors as necessary to address and resolve performance challenges.Review and provide constructive feedback on project QA/QC documentation.Assist with Final Acceptance and Project Closeout as required.
