Role overview The IT & Cybersecurity Manager leads the management and security of knok’s IT infrastructure. This position is responsible for ensuring that all systems remain reliable, scalable, and secure, while meeting regulatory requirements. Based in Matosinhos, Porto District, Portugal, the manager oversees the Information Security Management System (ISMS), promotes security best practices, and helps build a secure foundation for business growth. Main responsibilities Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, and systems to maintain performance, scalability, and security. Develop, implement, and refine IT and cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls. Maintain and adapt the ISMS to comply with regulatory standards, including ISO requirements. Identify, assess, and address security risks and vulnerabilities across the organization. Monitor IT and security performance by setting and tracking KPIs and metrics. Serve as the main contact for cybersecurity topics, collaborating with internal teams and external partners. Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to uphold compliance and security standards. Oversee incident response processes to resolve IT and security issues efficiently. This position is part of the Information Technology and Cybersecurity team, with a strong emphasis on maintaining the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and supporting regulatory compliance. The role involves hands-on work with IT systems, networks, and applications, as well as direct support for users, clients, and providers. Main responsibilities Oversee and optimize IT systems, networks, and applications to ensure strong performance and security. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for employees, clients, and healthcare providers. Collaborate with external partners to maintain regulatory compliance and manage vendor relationships. Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to improve security and operational efficiency. Monitor IT performance and security metrics, identifying and addressing vulnerabilities or risks as they arise. Stay current with IT trends and technologies, recommending updates or improvements to infrastructure. Train staff on IT best practices and raise security awareness throughout the organization. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a Professional Course (CET) in Cybersecurity, IT Systems, or Networking.
