ABOUT AFRICAN LEADERSHIP UNIVERSITY African Leadership University (ALU) is a pioneering institution dedicated to transforming higher education to cultivate ethical and entrepreneurial leaders for Africa. We are committed to challenging conventional approaches to education and fostering innovations that shape Africa's future. Our students engage in self-directed projects, internships, and hands-on learning experiences, ensuring they are well-equipped for rewarding careers upon graduation. With campuses in Kigali, Rwanda, and Port Louis, Mauritius, along with a growing network of hubs across the continent, ALU fosters a vibrant community that celebrates and values diversity in all its forms. Studying at ALU means receiving a world-class education that prepares students to enter the workforce, launch their ventures, or drive social impact immediately after graduation. At the African Leadership University, we prioritize the safety and well-being of all students. We have established a comprehensive safeguarding policy with a zero-tolerance approach to any violations. WHAT IS THE ALU FACULTY POOL?The ALU Faculty Pool (AFP) was created to support our expanding student body on both campuses. While we maintain a core faculty for required courses, we are eager to broaden the variety of courses we offer and deepen our academic scholarship. The AFP allows us to recruit faculty worldwide who align with our innovative teaching model, rotating intake calendar, and Pan-African mission. We periodically invite applications from faculty interested in teaching pre-designed modules or developing new courses in specific subject areas. Interested candidates should submit their CVs, and for new course design, a syllabus is also required. If selected, a contract will be established for the provided services. New course offerings can take the form of short boot camps (approximately 2 weeks), medium-term workshops (about 6-7 weeks), or full-length courses (12-13 weeks). As long as they align with our degree programs and adhere to our standards of academic rigor, these modules will be considered. Courses can be delivered online, asynchronously, synchronously, or in a hybrid format, providing adjunct faculty with maximum flexibility in their teaching methods. We appreciate your interest in this exciting opportunity to engage with innovative and forward-thinking faculty globally.
