This position includes a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal standards.Proficiency in accounting procedures, Opera Cloud, and TOUCHE is essential.Implement and uphold the standards and procedures established by the company and the Hotel Accounts Policy.Oversee night audit procedures to guarantee compliance and accuracy.Provide actionable recommendations to the Financial Controller to enhance revenue collection at sales points and reception.Foster positive employee relations and maintain effective communication.Verify that all hotel check-ins are accurately processed in the Front Office system with the correct rates applied.Ensure that Tour Operator vouchers are available and accurate.Confirm that all guest check-outs are processed correctly in the Front Office System and that any extras have been settled in cash or by credit card.Ensure proper transfer of credit sales to the relevant Tour Operators.Document any discrepancies found during the night audit and report them to the Front Office Manager, Financial Controller, and General Manager.Close all points of sale and print daily summary transactions, including recording any discounts provided by different outlets.Ensure daily summary sheets for cash and credit card sales are accurately recorded in compliance with the Opera Cloud system.Verify that batch analyses from various banks match credit card payments documented in the reception summary.Ensure all accounts department printouts are completed before the end of the business day.Maintain an organized Night Audit Folder for all relevant documents for future reference.Accurately manage changes in dates including business, point of sales, audit, and telephone dates.Stay informed on current trends impacting the industry.Adjust room rates in accordance with the seasonal demand.Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and guests.Adhere to departmental and hotel policies.Report any disciplinary or grievance issues to the Financial Controller.Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment, reporting any concerns immediately.Comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act, local health and safety regulations, and the company's safety and security policies.Promote energy efficiency and environmentally friendly practices.Participate in ongoing training opportunities as required.
