Join our dynamic team as a Global Financial Controller within the Business Assurance sector, where you will have the opportunity to work remotely from anywhere in Europe, provided you hold a valid work permit for your country of residence.Reporting directly to the Global Head of Finance Business Assurance, you will be a pivotal figure in overseeing financial planning and analysis (FP&A), management reporting, and control measures that drive the performance of our Certification business. This role includes the management of one direct report, the FP&A Manager.Position Overview:We are looking for an accomplished finance leader with extensive global management experience and a comprehensive understanding of P&L dynamics. You will combine your operational and technical financial expertise to foster organizational growth while navigating the complexities of a multinational business landscape.Key Responsibilities:1. Financial Leadership & Global ControllingOversee global FP&A processes including budget KPIs, reforecasting, monthly performance commentary, and gap analysis.Prepare critical deliverables for the Executive Committee, including presentations and ad hoc analyses.Conduct cross-functional financial analyses to support corporate strategies and organizational objectives.Collaborate with Heads of Regions and Global functions (Sales, Marketing, IT) to align financial strategies.Assist leadership with all finance-related tasks, ensuring accurate and high-quality outputs for decision-making and strategic discussions.Demonstrate strong technical knowledge in consolidations, transfer pricing, intercompany eliminations, multi-entity reporting, and foreign currency translation.Possess advanced understanding of IFRS (and US GAAP where applicable) and global compliance frameworks.2. M&A ActivitiesEngage in the evaluation of M&A opportunities, challenge acquisition proposals, and support due diligence processes.Facilitate the financial integration of acquired businesses to ensure alignment with group reporting requirements.Partner with teams on business expansion initiatives, assessing financial viability and conducting due diligence.Lead M&A activities, including financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and integration planning.Exhibit hands-on experience in evaluating companies, assessing risks, and applying strategic oversight in decision-making.3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business PartneringServe as the primary contact for Group Corporate Finance (Group Control, Treasury, Finance Shared Service Centers).Act as a resource for Country Business Managers on finance matters and for local Finance teams regarding global business requirements.Exhibit resilience, agility, and the ability to communicate effectively with affiliates, earning trust and credibility with stakeholders across local and global levels.
