We are on the lookout for a dynamic Sales Development Representative to become a part of our expanding North America team at Lightspeed. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the initial point of contact for potential clients, playing a crucial role in driving revenue growth by generating and qualifying leads for our sales team. The ideal candidate will have a background in lead generation or experience selling technology-driven solutions. If you are eager to advance your Sales career, this role is designed for you!
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Stimulate new business growth by qualifying warm inbound leads generated from marketing sources such as webinars, trials, and quote/demo requests, primarily through phone and email communication.
- Guide all inbound leads through to qualification for Lightspeed’s inside sales team.
- Make a memorable first impression on our prospects and customers by delivering an exceptional experience.
- Identify customer needs to ascertain if Lightspeed solutions align with their requirements.
- Handle multiple lead sources simultaneously, including incoming calls, emails, chats, and referrals.
- Utilize Salesforce to manage the existing customer database, ensuring all communications are documented.
- Collaborate with the Sales Development Manager to formulate innovative strategies to enhance the sales pipeline and consistently achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Your Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of sales or customer-facing experience.
- Experience in technology (software, mobile, or related) is a significant advantage.
- Background in hospitality is a plus.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong listening abilities.
- Self-motivated, outgoing, and proactive.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to connect with individuals who may not be technologically inclined.
- Fluency in English is required due to our global operations and client base.
- A positive, entrepreneurial spirit is a must!
