About the Volunteer Program
Cuso International offers international volunteer placements for final-year undergraduate students, master’s students, and recent graduates. These roles provide hands-on experience in international development while working directly with Cuso International partner organizations. Volunteers contribute to projects focused on locally-led, sustainable development.
Applicants are encouraged to highlight how their education, volunteer, or professional background can support the priorities of partner organizations.
Areas of Focus for Undergraduate Level
For final-year undergraduate students and recent graduates
- Communication and Digital Media: Social media, graphic design, content creation, and communications support
- Research and Knowledge Management: Literature reviews, data collection, synthesis, and report writing assistance
- Gender Equality, Youth, and Community Development: GESI support, youth engagement, and community well-being initiatives
- Monitoring and Data Support: MEAL assistance, data analysis, and documentation
- Information Technology and Digital Support: IT support, data systems, and digital tools
- Program Support and Administrative Assistance: Coordination, planning, logistics, and reporting
Areas of Focus for Master's Level
For master’s students and recent master’s graduates
- Business Development and Entrepreneurship: Startup creation, business development, youth entrepreneurship, and private sector engagement
- Economic Development and Livelihoods: Employability, workforce readiness, market-driven development, and economic resilience
- Partnership Development and Mobilization: Building and strengthening partnerships to support local initiatives
