Role Overview
We are in search of a Quality Assurance Engineer specializing in backend and API testing to ensure the reliability, performance, and overall quality of our products.
In this position, you will collaborate with developers, product owners, and fellow QA engineers to validate the functionality and stability of our backend services and integrations. Your contributions will be crucial in confirming that our systems operate correctly across various services, APIs, and data flows.
Although the role mainly focuses on backend validation and API testing, it will also involve automation testing as needed to enhance efficiency and coverage.
Key Responsibilities
As a QA Engineer, your duties will include:
- Analyzing specifications and technical requirements to identify potential gaps and edge cases.
- Designing and executing comprehensive test plans and cases for backend services and APIs.
- Conducting API testing utilizing tools such as Postman, Insomnia, Swagger, or equivalent tools.
- Validating data integrity, system integrations, and backend workflows.
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs using issue tracking systems.
- Working closely with developers to investigate issues and confirm fixes.
- Performing regression testing to ensure system stability across releases.
- Contributing to test automation, particularly for API and backend testing, where applicable.
- Proposing enhancements to testing processes, tools, and quality practices.
