This technology supports a range of organizations, including governments, defense agencies, commercial enterprises, and global institutions, by delivering thermal intelligence for national security, infrastructure management, agriculture, and climate adaptation. The company’s teams work from several cities, such as Brussels, Freiburg, Munich, Washington, and Toulouse, bringing together engineers, scientists, and strategists to advance space-based Earth observation.
Role overview
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) joins constellr’s Executive Leadership Team and reports directly to the CEO. This operational leader is responsible for turning strategic vision into actionable plans, ensuring the company is prepared for growth in operations, finance, and structure. The COO will be based in Munich or Berlin, following a hybrid work model and traveling regularly between both locations.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations and drive execution throughout the company
- Partner closely with the CEO to implement strategic initiatives
- Collaborate with leaders across engineering, product, finance, people, legal, security, and governance
- Align priorities, manage trade-offs, and deliver measurable results
- Shape the operating model, governance structures, and execution discipline
- Lead in a capital-intensive, regulated sector, balancing speed, pragmatism, and accountability
Location and work setup
- Position based in Munich or Berlin (Europe, Bayern, Germany)
- Hybrid work arrangement with required travel between offices
