As a Middle School Support Teacher at KIPP Nashville, your primary responsibilities will include:
Flexible Student Support:
Adaptively engage with students across the school as needed, under the direction of the Principal.
This role may include covering classrooms for absent teachers, conducting small group interventions, assisting during staff transitions, observing classrooms, and supporting logistical school-wide procedures like lunch, arrival, and dismissal.
Curriculum Development and Instruction:
Design and implement effective instructional strategies, activities, and materials that cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of individual students.
Commitment to School Culture:
Collaborate with your school team and fellow educators across KIPP Nashville to foster a supportive and inclusive school culture.
Contribute to the development of a positive school environment that addresses the needs of students, teachers, and families.
Participate actively in staff meetings and maintain open communication with colleagues.
Build strong relationships with students.
Create and maintain a calm and positive learning atmosphere.
