We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to serve as the key liaison between our Global Platforms Product Development team and the New Bern manufacturing plant. This role is pivotal in driving the evolution and implementation of assembly processes that align with global initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Work collaboratively with the Global Platforms team to lead the transformation of current assembly processes, ensuring alignment with global platform objectives.Develop and evaluate core assembly process competencies and criteria, contributing to the formulation of a strategic 3-5 year technology development roadmap.Conduct benchmarking studies across similar industries and technologies to identify best practices and areas for enhancement, formulating actionable response plans.Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives within manufacturing facilities to facilitate equipment and process enhancements.Act as the intermediary for Design for Assembly (DFA) and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities between global platforms and the New Bern assembly plant.Engage in Product Design reviews, representing the interests of Assembly Process Engineering.Ensure project timelines and budgets are adhered to by coordinating effectively between the global platforms and the New Bern assembly facility.Oversee capital requests for platform projects, support business case development, and validate capacity analyses. Contribute to the approval of cost-saving estimates.Develop and implement operational procedures and documentation that support machinery and equipment releases, providing training for relevant personnel.Act as the primary representative of the assembly facility for new platform equipment, including vendor selection, design, construction, testing, and installation processes.Define specifications for equipment containment and project team releases.

The Process Engineer plays a pivotal role in managing the layout of the plant floor, including all assembly and fabrication processes for the designated department. This position is crucial for enhancing productivity metrics and provides essential engineering support for daily production operations.Key Responsibilities:Serve as the main liaison for the Manufacturing organization, offering expert support for automated assembly equipment.Compile and present daily reports on department productivity metrics.Oversee Engineering Assistants to ensure efficient workflow.Lead continuous improvement initiatives and facilitate Kaizen events.Enhance assembly and fabrication processes on production lines.Manage the department layout and coordinate equipment relocations with Maintenance.Assist in developing and maintaining Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routing data.Guide projects aligned with the plant's strategic objectives.Support new product development, focusing on process and product qualifications.Evaluate Design for Assembly (DFA) practices.Establish and maintain standard work processes.Utilize industrial engineering tools for labor quantification and headcount template creation.Adjust line capacities in response to changing product volumes.Address safety incidents and engage in departmental safety initiatives.Act as the ergonomic resource within the department.
