Your Responsibilities
As a hands-on leader, you will motivate your team while ensuring operational excellence. You will mentor future leaders, collaborate with the Head Coach to set and monitor performance goals, and utilize data insights to navigate challenges. This role includes key responsibilities with additional supervisory tasks as needed.
Key Functions
- Team Leadership: Collaborate with the Head Coach on hiring, onboarding, and training, fostering a culture of trust and recognition. Adjust team deployment to maintain smooth operations and provide hands-on coaching as needed.
- Food Safety Standards: Uphold high standards for food safety and cleanliness by conducting regular inspections and ensuring compliance, while addressing any quality issues proactively.
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure a clean and welcoming environment that aligns with sweetgreen's standards, using guest experience metrics to make timely business decisions.
- Financial Management: Assist in managing controllable costs and schedules, working with the Head Coach to implement strategies based on operational insights.
- Operational Efficiency: Support daily operations by troubleshooting issues and prioritizing tasks to enhance team performance.
- Career Path Development: Execute all essential functions outlined in the Shift Leader role and support the development of team members.
