As the overseer of the largest domestic shelter system in the country, DVS ensures safety and services for this vulnerable population. Our network includes over 55 emergency domestic violence shelters that offer temporary housing and supportive services to more than 17,500 victims and their children annually. DVS also funds the 24-hour domestic violence hotline.In addition to managing the No Violence Again (NOVA) program at the DHS intake center, DVS operates the Domestic Violence Liaison Unit, providing counseling and intervention services at Job Centers.
