Role overview The Web Interaction Designer joins Notion’s web presence team, a group within the Creative Team responsible for maintaining and evolving Notion.com. This team blends designers and engineers who work together to ensure the website reflects Notion’s brand and remains easy to update and navigate. Collaboration with other teams across the company is a regular part of the work, supporting creative needs and reinforcing the company’s identity. This position leads web projects from initial strategy through to launch. The role requires working closely with engineering and marketing, with a strong focus on design quality and process improvement. Managing ambiguity, clarifying goals, and shaping both project outcomes and team culture are key parts of the job. What you will do Take ownership of the entire design process for major sections of Notion’s website, from strategy to execution to quality review. Translate broad objectives into clear user experiences, information structures, and scalable interaction patterns for pages and campaigns. Establish and maintain standards for typography, layout, motion, and overall site consistency. Develop and refine design systems, prototypes, and tools to help the web presence team work efficiently and consistently. Write production code for Notion.com. Collaborate with partners in Creative, Product Marketing, Communications, Brand, and Product to explain design decisions and keep teams aligned. Work location This role is based in New York, New York. Notion values in-person collaboration, with team members working on-site on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays as part of Anchor Days. Some roles may require additional days in the office.
