Driver Support Services is actively seeking a skilled Class 2 HIAB Driver to support our Civils and Groundworks teams in Norwich and surrounding areas. As a Grab Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring safety and efficiency in material delivery and site operations.Your responsibilities will include:Safely operating the HGV and grab to deliver and collect materials for our teams.Maintaining public safety and ensuring operational staff safety while the HGV is in use.Assisting with backfilling pipe excavations and trenches on highways.Supporting the signing, lighting, and guarding of works.Transporting construction waste to recycling centers and clearing sites of debris.Key Qualifications:Reliability and punctuality are essential, along with strong communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service.A valid Full UK Driving Licence, Class 2 licence, Digi-tacho card, and Driver CPC Card are mandatory.Physical fitness is required as the role involves manual handling, lifting, and bending, although machinery will assist with heavier tasks.Adherence to safety regulations and processes, including the proper use of PPE, is crucial.Willingness to work in outdoor conditions, which can be wet and dirty.Flexibility with working hours and travel, as overtime may be required due to unpredictable schedules.This position offers an average of 9 to 10 hours of work per day, with optional weekend shifts based on availability.
