Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and meticulous Auto Body Prepper/Painter to become a vital part of our vibrant team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in preparing vehicles for painting and executing exceptional paint applications. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for automotive repair and an acute attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, grinding, and masking to achieve a flawless finish.
- Choose and mix paint according to manufacturer specifications.
- Apply paint, clear coats, and finishes utilizing spray guns and other methods.
- Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections and execute necessary touch-ups.
- Adhere to safety protocols while maintaining a tidy work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and superior results.
- Assist with other collision repair duties as required.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Prior experience as an Auto Body Prepper and/or Painter.
- Ability to understand and implement instructions from detailed work orders.
- Familiarity with auto body repair processes, painting techniques, and safety measures.
- Knowledge of automotive paint products and their application methods.
- Strong attention to detail and a dedication to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks in various environments.
- Valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications (e.g., I-CAR) are advantageous.
