In this role, you will:Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and work areas.Service and repair a variety of customer vehicles.Provide accurate estimates for tire and parts replacements.Ensure the availability of oil and essential chemicals.Keep an updated inventory of all shop supplies.Conduct Ontario Safety Inspections on vehicles.Report any mechanical issues to the Mechanical Supervisor.Complete estimate sheets (SOP) for body shop collision estimates and communicate with relevant personnel.Ensure equipment readiness by performing inspections and preventive maintenance, including engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations, wheel balancing, and filter replacements.Maintain vehicle functionality by addressing operator complaints through inspections and repairs of mechanical and electrical systems.Verify vehicle serviceability through road tests and system adjustments.Adhere to provincial vehicle regulations by testing engine and safety standards.Document service and repairs to maintain comprehensive vehicle records.Support shop equipment functionality by following operational guidelines and troubleshooting breakdowns.Manage costs effectively by utilizing warranties and evaluating service and parts options.
